Introduction

Welcome to my blog! I'm Annie Knight, your instructor for LBSU 302. In addition to being an instructor for this course, I work as a librarian at the Leatherby Libraries on Chapman University's Orange Campus. As a librarian I serve Brandman students like yourself by providing library instruction and reference assistance. I have enjoyed doing this for the past four and a half years. I was a distance education student myself during library school when I worked toward my MLIS (Master of Library and Information Science) degree at San Jose State University, attending blended and online classes. I love my work as a librarian where I help people learn how to locate, evaluate, and use information of all kinds and for many different purposes.I believe information fluency to be essential in working toward academic, professional, and personal fulfillment.

Outside of work, I enjoy making zines, writing, reading, traveling (when I can), camping, visiting quirky museums, going to art walks, and attending my reading group at a local infoshop.

I look forward to working with you all this term and hope that you find this course to be a good introduction to new research strategies and resources that will help you as a student and in your other lives.

Please feel free to contact me with your questions or to set up a meeting when you would like assistance or to discuss the course. I can be reached in the following ways:
